JENNIFER SARA WIDELITZ
is currently pursuing an MSc in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh and is a board member of the Mystery Writers of America, Florida Chapter. She has a BFA in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design and worked as a compositor at SPIN VFX, creating special effects for film and television.
As an artist with a deep-rooted passion for story-telling, she works in a variety of mediums: film, photography, painting, prose, poetry, etc. Her poetry has been published in various literary magazines, including Open Minds Quarterly, Stonecrop Magazine (formerly Basalt), The Pointed Circle, and The Gateway Review; her photography has been featured in Kelp Journal, Camas Magazine, and Months To Years; and her short fiction has been published on 50-Word Stories.com and in the literary anthology From Arthur’s Seat, for which she was also the cover designer.
Additionally, she is the author of Battle Cry, a poetry collection advocating for warriors battling autoimmunity, and the illustrator of A Heavenly World, a heartwarming children's book which helps kids cope with the loss of their beloved fur-friends.
She is currently at work on her next literary project: a collection of short fiction exploring the dark nature of fairy tales. Scarcely without a cup of tea and book in hand, on the rare occasions she puts the book (or pen) down, she can be spotted wandering the streets of her beloved Edinburgh or on a nearby slope learning to ski.
